Modnizza is published on the understanding set out here. On a site full of building and garden work, the second section matters more than the rest put together.
Practical guides, and their limits
Our guides describe how a job is generally done, not how your job should be done. Structural alterations, roofing, wiring, gas and anything at height can injure people and damage property, and much of it is regulated — often requiring a certified installer, a permit or an inspection. Nothing written here overrides your local building rules or the instructions supplied with a product. Judge honestly what is within your competence, bring in a qualified trade when it is not, and understand that work you carry out is at your own risk.
Prices, products and mistakes
Materials, costs and product ranges move constantly; older guides reflect the market at the time of writing. We cannot promise the site is complete or current. Anything wrong can be reported to [email protected] and it will be looked at.
Suppliers and other websites
We name products and point to suppliers, manufacturers and standards bodies. Those pages are theirs, along with their prices, claims and availability, and a mention on our site is not a warranty of anyone’s workmanship.
